What size solar system does my home need?
It depends on how much electricity you use and how much roof space you have. As a rough guide, each 1 kW of panels produces about 4 units a day in good sun, or around 120 units a month. Try the calculator above, then we confirm the right size during a free site visit.
How much subsidy can I get under PM Surya Ghar?
The central government subsidy for homes is ₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW and ₹18,000 for the third kW — up to ₹78,000 in total for systems of 3 kW or more. Some states offer additional support. Amounts are set by the government and can change; we confirm your eligibility before you commit.
Do you really handle all the subsidy paperwork?
Yes. We register you on the national portal, manage the DISCOM approvals and net-meter application, and prepare the subsidy claim. You just provide your documents and bank details.
Does solar work on cloudy or rainy days?
Yes, but output drops when the sky is heavily overcast. Because your home stays connected to the grid, you simply draw more from the grid on those days. Over a full year, a well-designed system still covers a large share of your bills.
What is net metering?
A net meter records the electricity your system sends to the grid as well as what you take from it. Extra power you export is credited against your bill, so daytime generation still counts even when you are not at home.
What maintenance does a rooftop system need?
Very little. Panels should be cleaned regularly to remove dust, and the system checked periodically. Our operations and maintenance support keeps it performing well.
How long does installation take?
The physical installation usually takes a few days. The overall timeline depends mainly on DISCOM approvals and net-meter installation, which we follow up on your behalf.
